PoseBack does not collect, store or transmit any personal data. There is no account, no analytics, and no third-party SDK. Your camera and microphone are used only on your device, in the moment, and nothing is uploaded anywhere.
PoseBack needs the camera to be a delayed mirror. Frames are held in your phone’s memory for the length of the delay you chose and are then discarded. They are not written to storage, not sent to us, and not sent to anyone else.
The one exception is deliberate: if you tap Save, that single frame is written to a temporary file on your device and handed to the standard iOS share sheet so you can keep or send it. Where it goes after that is decided entirely by you and by the app you choose.
If you switch voice control on, PoseBack listens for a short list of commands such as “replay that”. Recognition is pinned to on-device processing — the app explicitly refuses to fall back to a network recognition service. Audio is not recorded, not stored and not transmitted. Turning voice control off in Settings stops the app opening the microphone at all.
Nothing. PoseBack has no analytics, no crash reporting, no advertising identifiers and no third-party SDKs. It does not ask for your name, email or any account.
All of it lives on your device and is removed when you delete the app.
PoseBack works entirely offline. The app itself makes no network requests. If you buy the app, that purchase is handled by Apple under Apple’s own privacy policy — we receive no payment details from it.
Independently of this app, iOS may share anonymised crash and usage statistics with developers if you enabled that in Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements. Those reports come from Apple, contain no personal information, and you can switch them off there at any time.
PoseBack is not directed at children and collects no data from anyone, of any age.
If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date. If a future version of the app ever collects anything, that change will be described here before it ships.
